[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The perfect first toy for babies! It’s both soft & structured, cute, crinkly & with enough contrast to stick out enough for those babies with developing eyesight! Would be awesome as part of a baby shower gift :)

Crinkley material has not lost its crispness as I have experienced with other toys of this nature. Works well as a distraction when baby is upset. I can see my older children taking this to use for their baby dolls when my infant no longer needs it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My toddler took off the baby. The book is very noisy with every page being turned and touched. Cant tell the beginning or the end. The sensory soft book had little surprises in it. A felt like chicken in a flower cup the baby kept trying to eat.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This soft book is such an amazing item for a baby of any age range. All infants love the crinkling sound and to be able to chew on it. I have a son who is autistic and books like this are his absolute favorite. I couldn't have asked for a better item for him to fall in love with.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This crinkle book is so cute. All of the pages have something to do or look at on them. There are little pockets, a mirror, tags and the whole thing crinkles. It kept my son’s attention for a while and he had to show it to his dad.

The four season pictures are cleverly intertwined with moving parts that enhance the exploration value. The chick fits perfectly back into the pocket and the bird sliding up and down is fun for little hands to slide. The compact size is perfect and the design allows for the book to stand upright for tummy viewing. This toy is bright and colorful and would make a great gift!

The pages are adorable and have cute scenes. There are so many cute details in the book, such as the moving bird, and the sun that could also be used as a teether. This is great to use on the go or at home during tummy time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The sensory seasons book is super cute with lots of fun colors. All the pages have a super crinkly sound to them. There is a really nice orange handle in the book that is perfect for biting or holding on to. There are also different textures thru out the book. Th compact size is also perfect for on the go.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We were excited to receive this Fisher Price Balanced Beginnings Soft Book from the Play, Rate and Review program. There are so many different activities packed into this small book! There's a mirror, a peek-a-boo chick that fits in a pocket, a soft sliding bird, a firm chew ring, ribbon and silky flaps and so many different fabric textures. There is lots of crinkling too, so I would not call this a quiet toy, but it is definitely fun for babies and even toddlers. My 3 year old loves to play with it as well as the baby.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The fisher Price BALANCED BEGINNINGS SOFT BOOK is a simple fabric book. The colors are engaging, and it does have a few attached moving parts- a fabric bird that slide up and down a striped , stuffed “branch”, a fabric leaf, fabric dragonfly wings, and a chick that can be pulled out of an egg half shell. Each of the fabrics are slightly different for texture exploration. There is also a soft plastic flat “worm” on one page and a soft plastic handle for baby to use for teething. The handle was our baby’s favorite thing about this book. A small mirror rounds out the activities for this book.While these are all pros of this soft book, the cons are also numerous, with the biggest con being his book is only surface washable. If we are going to feel comfortable with our baby putting something in his mouth, it needs to be washed first! The second con is that this book does not stay closed, it could use a simple button or snap to close it. Thirdly, there are no words in this book. Even though this is a baby book, a simple short phrase or even a single word on each page would be beneficial. All in all, the Fisher Price Balanced Beginnings soft book is cute, soft, and has sweet illustrations and teething opportunities- but overall not being washable gives me cause to not want it in our toy rotation.
