Mallet Location
My niece enjoys this toy, however, the location of the mallet is awkward for a left handed person. I suggest moving the location from the end of the top to the middle.

Great toy
Love this, only flaw, is the choking hazard safety aspect.... the string is too short. Difficult to play almost, because the long handle that bub shoves into mouth to the point of gagging anyway, isn't long enough to use. But nothing to be done there as that's a safety feature.. will be fun for playtime but I might just cut it off if i need to. Will wait and see as bub grows.

very pleasant tune and easy to use by one year old
Xylophone vs Xbox
The wife and I love this toy, nothing better then to sit around the dinning table, banging away on the Xylophone. Xylophone 1 vs Xbox 0.

Musical Creativity.
The Fisher-Price Classic Xylophone is wonderful for hand eye co-ordination, creating musicality, & encouraging colour recognition & mobility. It allows the child to be creative in a proactive way..

Hammer attached to body by a string that is too short, tone is very quiet, toddler not interested. Several months later, compare this response to a different xylophone toy that was a gift which is used frequently. My son has access to both and he has decided.
Question
Love the xylophone! Is there a music book, that coordinates with the colors on xylophone, that I can purchase to play songs from??
A must-have
Can't be without this classic! I hope to teach my daughter to appreciate fine arts and maybe even to play a musical instrument. I'm to have a starter kit for that. For now, she is happy to chew on the stick. By the way, thank you for thinking to attack the stick so it won't get lost. I appreciate that my daughter can play with a toy that looks like one that I and my mother played with. The world is changing all around us. Its nice to be able to bring a little nostalgia and tradition to our daughter's toy chest.
It is great but ours is out of tune
Bought this for our one year onkd and she likes it. The short cord is a bit difficult but it just takes some getting used to and she will learn. One con with ours is two keys are out if tune and being slightly musical it is kind of annoying.
Love it!!!
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Sound is very good!!! Good quality. I removed the cord.
Chord is way too short
This would be a great toy if the chord was longer. Unfortunately it is difficult to use unless you cut the chord off. My toddler gets frustrated with it so doesn’t play with it
Good quality
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The only downfall is the cord is to short. Very good quality and sound

The Fisher-Price Classic Xylophone is a pull-along toy featuring 8 colourful keys designed to encourage early music exploration and creative play. Children can follow the colours on the keys to play simple tunes and experiment with different sounds and rhythms.
The mallet is tethered to help keep it with the toy during play. With easy-rolling wheels and a pull string, toddlers can take their musical toy along as they walk around the house.
