[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These nipple shields were a lifesaver when I first came home from hospital, as I was having difficulties getting baby to latch properly. Although, I did find that they would often come off and not stay in my nipples properly, despite being the correct size. This lead to milk going everywhere and was always messy. I used the shields for about 2 weeks and removing them had been great, but now I struggle getting baby to latch deep enough, as she is so use to just hopping onto the shield. I’d still recommend if you are having troubles because they do help a lot!

They fit over my nipple nicely but unfortunately my baby refused to feed while I was wearing them. I had to give up as he was getting upset. I think because my milk supply is low and these slowed it down he just wasn't getting anywhere near enough milk.

I was about to give up breastfeeding due to excruciating pain from cracked and bleeding nipples, until a friend recommended these shields to me. I’d never even heard of nipple shields before. They allowed me to continue BF without the pain and over a couple of days my skin was able to fully heal. My baby is still able to achieve a full deep latch with no problems whatsoever, the flow from the shields is excellent, they’re super thin and easy to apply, and they’ve honestly just made breastfeeding feel like an enjoyable experience again. Just an absolute game changer and I wish I knew about them for my first baby. I’m going to continue to use them for the foreseeable future!

I can see these being very beneficial for others, unfortunately it didn’t work out for me and my fussy baby. I think if I introduced these earlier in my breastfeeding journey it may have worked better for me.

After a painful start, cracked nipples, shallow latch, and a very hungry newborn. I was close to giving up. A lactation consultant suggested I try these, and they completely changed the game for us. They’re soft, super thin, and easy to use (even when you’re sleep-deprived and emotional). The cut-out design meant Lexi could still feel and smell my skin, which I loved & it didn’t feel like there was a huge barrier between us. Most importantly, they gave my body time to heal without having to stop breastfeeding. I only needed them for a couple of weeks, but they gave me the confidence and relief I needed to keep going. I know they’re not for everyone, but for me, they were a gentle, effective tool at a time when I felt overwhelmed and in pain. I found that they fitted on comfortably and were light weight. My baby was able to latch on fairly well although it did take a bit of time. It was handy to give a bit of light relief during the toe curling moments when you first start breastfeeding!
