Britax Safe N Sound B-First Ifix Convertible Car Seat Black

This seat is great if you're looking for extra cushion for comfort, material preventing bub from overheating and longer rearfacing option. However, as much as i like this seat it seems to move around despite being fitted properly. It does not recline far back so bub is almost sitting up straight when rearfacing. The issue i have with this is when she falls asleep her head flops forward. Shes over 1 years of age so has great neck strength but it scares me thinking she could potentially suffocate in the seat. Another issue is the seat is LARGE. If your bub is rear facing it'll be hard to put them in and take them out. We've got a Subaru forester and the seat is massive. The seat is so big we've had to move the mirror onto the middle seat headrest to see her. I do love the safety features and quality of the seat however i am not happy with the poor recline option and potential chocking hazard of the seat. Given how far car seats have come i think Britax needs to review these models and find a solution to prevent any injuries to babies.

Great car seat, comfortable and safe. We are still rear facing and bub goes to sleep very happily.

Great quality. Feels safe, solid and secure. Perfect for baby with hip brace for DDH treatment - purchased as the seat is wider and it accommodates the brace well (our baby has the Denis Browne Bar). Soft padding, and comfortable for baby! Infant insert side pads can also be easily removed to accommodate baby’s brace, and the safety belt that straps to the back of the head rest when the seat is rear facing can also be loosened to help when putting baby in and out of the car seat. Great product, highly recommend.

My 5 and a half month olds car seat is fitted exactly how it should be and the seat belts are tight over his shoulders and I am still having the same issues. The car seat is completely reclined but it doesn't seem to be reclined enough.

Terrible car seat, should be recalled. Extremely unsafe for babies! My seat is in the reverse position because my son is only 5 months old and (the seat can not recline any further) is constantly getting his head stuck forwards because the seat is not reclined enough!!! The seat belts are tight on him but he can still get his head stuck forwards under the head rest! This has been happening for months now! He will start screaming and crying and I can't stop to help him because I'm on roads that are 100km and nowhere to pull over at times!

Great car seat. Has isofix and seatbelt option which is helpful if you need the options. The seat feels very safe. I have a spare maxi cosi that I had used for my first child and in the nanny’s car. I had been using while I decided on what permanent seat I wanted for my second child and this Britax feels much more solid and has additional features in comparison. I am really happy with this car seat.

We upgraded to the B-First from the B-Compaq after our baby was diagnosed with hip dysplasia. The B-First has more room for children wearing a pavlik harness allowing their hips to sit in their braced position. We have a large car so size isn’t an issue. If I had my time again, I would purchase the B-First irrespective of a hip dysplasia diagnosis.

We had to change from our capsule to a car seat cause our daughter has Hip Dysplasia and was fitted with a DBB brace and this car seat works perfectly with the extra padding that can be removed or inserted! Super easy to clean! Highly recommended

Purchased for my 3 month old in DBB Brace for Hip Dysplasia. Her knees fit with room to spare. The seat is easy to install and use. Looks great as well. Worth the money.

I bought this early this year and have been using it since. Installation and day-to-day use are great. However, taking off and putting back the seat cover was extremely difficult. The fabric was good, there was no shrinkage. I spent half an hour trying to put it back but couldn't do it as well as before due to the tight gaps I needed to push the cover seat through. The seat cover of the headpiece and the side arms seem to have been designed without considering the need to reinstall it easily. I also couldn't find an instructive video online that will show a few tricks.

I bought seat a month ago. I have another britax sict seat for last 2 years. I am very happy with the safety measures and quality of seat.

I originally bought a capsule for my 4 month old and he hated it. Every car trip was a nightmare. Since we bought this seat, he is so much more comfortable and falls asleep every time! Very happy with our purchase. I think its good for big babies. Our baby is 98th percentile for height and I think he was just really uncomfortable in a capsule, much happier now.

It’s great. Only issue is when tightening the straps one side is always tighter than the other
