Joie I-Gemm Signature Capsule & Base Eclipse

My baby loves this seat. He is very comfortable, with his head well supported, and the fabric is good quality. You can adjust the headrest upward, which allows you to adapt it as your baby grows. It’s easier than other seats because you can adjust it up or down with a button—there’s no need to remove or change the fabric every time you need more space as your baby gets bigger. Installation was a bit difficult for us, but I think that’s because we are first-time parents. Once installed, it feels very solid and stable. If you have a small car, the front passenger seat may feel a bit cramped when this is installed in the back. I recommend measuring the distance beforehand to avoid ending up with a seat that’s too large and not being able to fit a front passenger comfortably.

Super easy to click in and out. Not bulky like many other capsules.

Bought this in January for our baby that is coming in February. I am very disappointed with this product as it is impossible to have the baby comfortable in it. It looks very unsafe as the headrest makes the baby’s head to come way forward and makes the baby’s chin close to chest. Only used for 2 doctors appointment which was just few streets from our house and was so worried as baby was very uncomfortable. Baby cries as soon as you put him in too. We tried looking at adjusting the headrest etc but the depth of the capsule is awfully too deep with the headrest too pushed forward. I wish there’s something they could do about this as this product isn’t cheap.

Love this capsule, compatible with the Joie signature pram so makes it super easy to transfer bub without disturbing him when he’s asleep

This capsule is a complete waste of money. Our babies chin is to his chest now that he is a month old and there is no way to adjust his position. This capsule is not safe and I do not recommend.

So tiny doesn’t fits any baby once I went to talk about it to the manager she was so mean about exchanging the item as I did not used it

If I had my time again I would NOT buy this capsule. Whilst it looks nice and has good fabric, I cannot see how this capsule is safe at all. My baby has his chin firmly on his chest in this capsule and gets very hot. We have followed all the guidelines to remove the padding insets and trying to adjust the head height but he still sits chin to chest. The angled recline of this car capsule is just not good for positioning at all and causes our baby to be extremely uncomfortable. I do not feel comfortable driving too far and I am constantly checking in the mirror to see if he is ok. We even when into store and got staff to try and help with his positioning and even they agreed his chin is firmly on his chest. He is a normal sized baby in the normal mid percentiles!! They told us to look at a different capsule or a car seat... but we had already spent $480 on this one. I really really wish we had not purchased this capsule and had purchased a different brand!! Complete waste of money and now we have to purchased something different to make sure he is safe!

Not very good. Been using it for 6 months now hoping it would get better but it didn’t. It’s hard to click into the pram and my baby looks so uncomfortable. When putting my baby in the car, the strap is really hard to tighten, the strap also won’t go over the capsule unless the hood is pushed and squished down. Joie isn’t a good brand for their car seats or prams either. Made terribly.

This capsule connects well with my pram and so easy to get in and out of the car. Definitely recommend it..

Not a fan! My baby is so uncomfortable in this capsule. She gets really hot and the positioning of her head is terrible. Not worth the money!!

We bought this a few months ago, sits bubs in a horrible position, chin is firmly pressed to chest and he hates it. We swapped to a maxi cosi and he loves it. Don’t waste your money poorly designed seat.

Bought for my second baby and it was a huge waste of $450. My baby is so uncomfortable in the capsule and gets so how I have had to pour water on him to cool him down. The shop assistant insisted I buy this one. Pretty sure they were just trying to get it off the shelf as since then I have read the terrible reviews on other sites. Don’t do it, spend the extra $50 or so for something more comfortable for you bub.

Overall this was great however as bubs gets bigger it is harder to put them in between the strap. It’s not practical to undo the strap and redo it every time you put baby in or take them out. I’ve transferred to a car seat due to this reason.
